The Team: Carrie NiedererFull Biography
Carrie Niederer is a Partner and the Chief Marketing Officer of Hodge / Niederer / Cariani / Lindsay (HNCL Partners). She has spent over twenty years with leading executive search firms. Her executive search practice focuses on senior level assignments across all functional areas in the consumer sector, and senior human resources positions across all industries. In addition, Carrie has significant experience with closely held organizations, giving her a keen sensitivity to the unique circumstances and factors that can come into play as family-owned or -controlled firms are seeking management talent.Her prior assignments have included senior management positions (including CEO, COO, CFO, head of marketing/sales) and senior human resources positions for companies ranging in size from $20 million private equity backed firms to Fortune 200 companies. Clients have included Gap Inc., Robert Mondavi, Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company, Beringer Blass, Kendall-Jackson, Barclays Global Investors, Kaiser Permanente, and Clorox Company.
Prior to forming Hodge / Niederer / Cariani / Lindsay (HNCL Partners), Carrie was a Partner in the Consumer Practice of Heidrick & Struggles. She joined that firm's San Francisco office in 1992 and quickly initiated the expansion of its Consumer Practice into the wine industry. In the process, she helped spearhead the then-emerging trend for wine companies to find senior management talent in consumer firms outside their industry. Previously, she was an Associate with Russell Reynolds Associates, where she received an extensive grounding in candidate development and the execution of searches.
Carrie received her B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley and her J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. She is also a member of the California Bar.
